As VONK we are proud to announce the upcoming deliveries of two power supplies for the Hydrohub test facility at the EnTranCe site in the city of Groningen, the Netherlands. The Hydrohub MegaWatt Test Centre is set up as a state-of-the-art facility for optimizing and scaling up electrolysis for green hydrogen production. The facility is key to perform research for large scale electrolyser systems. The project is coordinated by the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT) with the Hydrohub MegaWatt Test Center consortium.
In such a landmark project, it is logical to have a leading company like Vonk involved for the power supplies. For large scale electrolysis facilities the power supply is a key component with regards to ROI and CAPEX costof the total system. The fundamental and application knowledge of Vonk on power conversion leads to optimized solutions which are based on standard building blocks. Because ROI is driven by power quality and efficiency and CAPEX by component costs, Vonk’s optimized solutions will give the best outcome for any large scale electrolysis project.
