Lifetime Extension & System Upgrades in Gabon

A prime example of our work was a project executed for the company Total Anguille for their offshore platforms on the coast of Gabon. As part of our EPC project, our task was to revamp a control and automation system including the telecoms and naval installations. We had to perform re-engineering because of the lack of information available and create a comprehensive as-build package. Followed by the engineering of the whole system, procuring hardware and programming software. Finally we did the commissioning and handover to the client. By keeping the platforms operational during the brownfield rejuvenation works, we saved our clients millions.

Like most of our projects, we kept it local. However the critical equipment was built in our state-of-the-art facilities in the Netherlands and shipped to site after having completed extensive testing. An additional benefit is that this expensive technology can be implemented and used straightaway as it has already been tested. Not only saving money but also time.
