A central control room in Oman
We were asked to design the control system for the Yibal Field Development in Oman, which consisted of three satellite stations and a central production station. The project scope was to increase the feed handling capacity at the central production station. We needed to deliver a CCR room with fully integrated Foundation Fieldbus based Production Automation System cabinets, as well as a combined PLC for fire & gas and detection system and IPS. We ensured the entire system was staged and the System Integrated Test was performed, including connection of Foundation Fieldbus equipment and simulation of all field devices. We managed to do this all without plant shutdown, so no interruption to the product flow.
