What will you be doing?

You work on new energy projects and help to develop new advanced techniques. Sometimes you will be challenged to come up with a smart functional concept, sometimes the customer demand is already very specific and you will work it out. Your colleagues have a lot of knowledge and experience that you can learn from. You will be given ample time to master the complex material and to grow into the position.

You are involved from the bid decision of sales and work within the project team together with sales and supply chain. You work on multiple projects simultaneously, in different stages, often for international clients. Projects are in the oil & gas and green sector including hydrogen production, with an increasing shift towards the latter.

Based on the technical specifications you will make calculations, determine volumes and the necessary components and make the whole technically conclusive. You work on energy distribution and power conversion issues and offer solutions for them. Think for example of IGBT and thyristors.

In cooperation with supply chain you combine different suppliers’ offers of necessary components. You will develop this into a complete offer, including technical calculations, schematics and flowcharts. Within your team, CAD engineers further elaborate the designs in 3D drawings.

You will also be involved in clarification rounds with customers, explaining technical choices and discussing possible alternatives. Depending on your knowledge and experience you do this alone or with a colleague.

Our requirements

• A completed technical HBO/WO education, in the direction of power electronics;
• Experience in a similar role in an international technical project environment;
• Knowledge of power conversion;
• A good command of the Dutch and English language;
