In the Majnoon Oilfield, Shell entrusted VONK to deliver multiple substations to a challenging desert location. The project faced extreme conditions, including sand, dust, heat, and corrosion, compounded by limited on-site facilities and a tight timeline. Due to these risks, on-site construction and outfitting were not viable. The client required a pre-tested, reliable, and fully equipped substation that could be installed safely and efficiently.
The project’s execution resulted in a high-quality outcome, leaving the client highly satisfied. Following the initial delivery, the client awarded VONK an additional contract for a substation equipped with a power management system. Our expert commissioning team ensured a seamless handover and went above and beyond to assist the client with other on-site challenges. This successful collaboration continues, with further extensions currently underway.
