Job description

VONK is commissioned to supply and install Power Supplies as part of a large expansion project for Uranium Enrichment purposes in the South of France. In relation to this we are looking for an experienced Site Manager. In this role, you will oversee the installation works executed by a local subcontractor. You will be the extension of the project manager, based  in the Netherlands and ensure the smooth and efficient execution of our portion the project.

As Site Manager, you will be our first point of contact on site. You plan and coordinate the site work of the local VONK team and installation subcontractor in line with the overall project schedule. You will maintain daily contact with the customer, make adjustments where necessary and report progress to the project manager in the Netherlands. Thanks to your helicopter view, technical knowledge and leadership, you ensure a structured and safe execution of the project.

Core tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the installation works of VONK supplied equipment, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee Subcontractor detailed installation project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all milestones are achieved in line with the overall project schedule.
• Lead and coordinate internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Liaise with client, other contactors active on site and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Identify and resolve technical issues or delays, proposing and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct and coordinate regular (daily) inspections to assess progress and quality.
• Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to the project management and client.

What we require:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager in the construction industry;
• You have already completed few projects from start to finish and at least 10 years of managerial experience in a construction environment;
• A Bachelor education in electrical engineering or similar;
• Experience with electrical installation works;
• Familiar with safety regulations and responsibilities on site;
• You are Fluent in French and English, both verbally and in writing; Dutch is a plus;
• Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally;
• Familiar with French culture and communication style;
• Driving license;
• Independent and organisationally strong; You maintain an overview and are decisive.
