We were tasked with designing the control system for the Yibal Field Development in Oman, which included three satellite stations and a central production station. The project’s scope focused on increasing the feed handling capacity at the central production station. Our deliverables included a CCR room with fully integrated Foundation Fieldbus-based Production Automation System cabinets, as well as a combined PLC for the fire and gas detection system and the IPS.
We ensured that the entire system was staged and conducted a comprehensive System Integration Test, which involved connecting Foundation Fieldbus equipment and simulating all field devices. Notably, we accomplished all of this without shutting down the plant, ensuring uninterrupted product flow throughout the process.
